FOREWORD
It is with great satisfaction that CISSPAT sees its farsightedness
recognized. Since 1977, well ahead of its time, it saw the need and
for the first time in Italy provided for the training of a professional
figure in an intermediate position between psychotherapist and assistant:
an EXISTENTIAL CONSULTANT.
In 1977 Logotherapy (Third School of Viennese Psychotherapy) was instituted
at CISSPAT, its first Honorary President was the same creator of this
psychotherapeutic orientation, the Viennese teacher VIKTOR E. FRANKL
(1905-1997) who extensively spread Logotherapy through organization
of Conventions and Meetings for study and in-depth research and the
publication of essays and books on Logotherapy and Existential Analysis.
