about us
C.I.S.S.P.A.T. (Italian Center for the Study and
Development of Short Term Psychotherapy) IS INVOLVED IN SHORT TERM
PSYCHOTHERAPY WITH A PSYCHO-ANALYTICAL ORIENTATION, IN PARTICULAR
INDIVIDUAL SHORT TERM DYNAMIC PSYCHOTHERAPY AND FOR ADULT SUBJECTS.
Founded in 1972 by Prof. Luigi Peresson, who has managed it since
1991, it was established by official act in 1975, as an Association
governed by private law. CISSPAT is one of the oldest qualified psychotherapeutic
training schools in Italy.
The current model uses and enriches the cultural inheritance and training
tradition and reinforces a previously existing interest in the educational
and scientific organization of our Center as well as the natural evolution
based on trends which arose in the 1970's regarding Italian and foreign
psychotherapy involving therapeutic models based on Psychoanalytical
theory which are effected in shorter time frames.
This final orientation is documented by the 1984 modification of the
Statute, approved by the 1986 International Congress and confirmed
with the new name that CISSPAT assumed in 1993 as the Italian Center
for the Study and Development of Short Term Psychotherapy. It is with
this name that it received accreditation from MURST (Italian Ministry
of the University and Scientific and Technological Research) with
Ministerial Decree dated 29.01.2001 published in the Italian Official
Gazette no. 41 dated 19.02.2001. |
